Lucy has one of those perfectly happy lives, with a husband she loves in a nice neighborhood, working at a job she likes.  Amber, a minor B level celebrity, moves into the neighborhood and Lucy is drawn into a close friendship, perhaps unhealthily close, with her.  As Amber’s issues with a stalker are uncovered, Lucy is drawn more and more into helping Amber.  But are Amber’s issues real? Does she have her own motivations for her friendship with Lucy? And how does Lucy’s husband feel about this new third wheel in his marriage?  The novel meanders through these questions and more to come to a surprising ending.  Fans of quick reading domestic noir might enjoy this.
